<itunes:summary>Boy howdy, another fun episode for you! First, we catch up on a month's worth of time travel gossip, including:

The copyright adventures of Inspector Spacetime! (AKA "A space traveler who can also travel through time.")

Touchback, a movie about football and time travel!

B to the F, an awesome new blog by the creator of Dinosaur Comics!

Fringe! (A little bit.)

Alcatraz! (Not at all.)

Then we talk about the first seasons of Life on Mars, both the (amazing) UK version and the (eh) US version. What problems did Liz have with the storytelling? Why did Rudy like the US version so much? Are they in a coma, going mad, or traveling back through time? YOU WILL LEARN.

And let us know what you think of this episode in the comments, on Twitter, on Facebook or via email! As always, thanks so much for listening.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Guys. GUYS. Here are four reasons that you MUST listen to this VERY SPECIAL episode of Timey Wimey TV:

1) Liz and Rudy talk to Oscar nominees! Specifically, the talented, funny and charming Andrew Bowler and Gigi Causey, whose delightful short film Time Freak is one of the five nominees for Best Narrative Short this year.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnwiOYhIExU&w=475

2) Time Freak is a really great example of how the device of time travel can serve a very human story, and Andrew and Gigi are extremely eloquent in describing how they approached creating a time travel narrative that would engage on all levels.

3) Ever wonder exactly how a short film gets nominated for an Academy Award? We find out! It's actually really interesting!

4) GIGI GOT A HUG FROM GEORGE CLOONEY AND IT'S THE BEST STORY EVER.

So you should listen! And then check out Time Freak either in theaters or on iTunes! And then join us in wishing Gigi and Andrew EXTREMELY HUGE AMOUNTS OF LUCK this Sunday!

While we all wait for the Oscars, though, let us know what you think of this episode in the comments, on Twitter, on Facebook or via email! And as always, thanks so much for listening.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Hey, new episode time! First things first: Doctor Who! Our friend the Doctor not only starred in a quick scene for Children in Need, but is going to be reappearing for Christmas -- and maybe in feature film? Our enthusiasm for each thing varies wildly!

And Liz and Rudy also touch on the precarious position that Community (and, ergo, its homage to the classic time travel series Inspector Spacetime) currently occupies on television! And also Family Guy did a time travel episode! And Terra Nova is still on the air! So much to discuss!

But don't worry, Liz and Rudy eventually get around to 11/22/63, Stephen King's JKF assassination-focused novel. How many references to other King books did Rudy catch? What did Liz think of the time travel mechanics meticulously detailed by the book? How many fun facts about Lee Harvey Oswald did we all learn? There's both spoiler-free and spoiler-y discussion for you if you haven't read the book yet, never fear.

<itunes:summary>Hey, friends! We've got a fun episode, full of time travel fun, for you today. First off, we discuss the timey wimey news of the day, including the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special -- which may or may not include Amy and Rory? There's a bunch of speculation on our part.

And we also make plans to read Stephen King's new book 11/22/63: A Novel, because reading is fundamental and King's take on time travel could be very interesting.

Plus it's the continuation of our ever-popular segment, Liz Nags Rudy About Terra Nova! Rudy isn't watching this show! Liz still is! Has it improved? Has the number of people being eaten by dinosaurs increased? Are those things related? The answer is yes!

Then finally, due to popular demand, we discuss the extremely popular Quantum Leap, which ran for five seasons on NBC and was extremely formative for one young Rudy Jahchan. When looked at with modern eyes, though, how does it hold up? We will tell you!

<itunes:summary>Hey, so remember that time when Liz's mom got mad at us because we made fun of "City on the Edge of Forever"? Well, we promised you a follow-up and for once we delivered!

In this VERY special episode of Timey Wimey TV, we invited romance author and supplier of genetic material Janet Miller to discuss her favorite time travel shows and films, from past classics to recent favorites.

Well, that was the original idea, anyway. What ACTUALLY ends up happening is Liz and Rudy and Janet discussing how romance works as both a genre and a storytelling element in science fiction. It was a fun conversation! Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

But what about next week, you ask? Now that Doctor Who and Torchwood are over, what shall we discuss? Well, we're turning that question right back around on YOU! With a POLL!

We brought back our fabulous Who-vian guests from our first round-table -- Jay, Juan and Megan -- and added the lovely Casey McKinnon to the panel!

Topics discussed include our favorite and least favorite episodes of the season, what writers we'd like to see take on Doctor Who and the even-longer-running British time travel series Inspector Spacetime. There is also a rousing game of marry-boff-kill! And some profanity. Sorry about that.

<itunes:summary>It's a very exciting, very engaging, very pterodactyl-filled episode of Timey Wimey TV! First, Liz and Rudy discuss "The Wedding of River Song," the potentially controversial season six finale of Doctor Who. How awesome was that first twenty minutes or so? How huge a debt is owed to Douglas Adams? Is The Awl right about the episode's flaws? Who initiates the Bitchy Feminist Moment of the Week? Unlike "The Wedding of River Song," we will leave no question unanswered!

And then Rudy and Liz talk about Terra Nova some more, with additional nuance now that Rudy has actually seen the show. Is adding dinosaurs and time travel mystery enough to spice up a pretty standard family drama? One of us thinks yes! The other one, not so much! (That means we'll probably still continue to cover it.)

Plus, you guys have thoughts as well, which we discuss! Please continue to sound off via Twitter, Facebook, email or right here in the comments! And seriously, thanks for subscribing and listening.

<itunes:summary>Huge show this week! Huge! Not only do Liz and Rudy cover the penultimate episode of Doctor Who season 6, "Closing Time," but a lot of other stuff happens! For one thing, there was news about the premiere of Who season 7! And Liz asked Warren Ellis what he would do with Doctor Who, and he replied! Unexpected!

And Community's A-plus Who parody, Inspector Spacetime, has become a bonafide meme, one we take more than a few moments to celebrate!

Oh, and if you like poorly rendered CGI dinosaurs and potential time travel malarkey, Terra Nova is the show for you! At least, that's what Liz tries to make Rudy believe. We'll find out how successful she was next week, probably.

And we really do discuss "Closing Time"! How did the return of James Corden to the show pan out? How cute is it that the Doctor speaks baby? How exciting was that cliffhanger, huh?

And what did you guys think about it? You used your Internet powers to tell us! That was great! You should do that again! Please share your thoughts via Twitter, Facebook, email or right here in the comments! And seriously, thanks for subscribing and listening.</itunes:summary>

It is what happened to our friends on Doctor Who, though, in Episode 11, "The God Complex." And Liz and Rudy have a whole bunch of thoughts about it. They also have thoughts about San Francisco Giants pitcher Brian Wilson showing off some fancy future sneaks, and what we should prepare for as Doctor Who approaches the end of season six.

And Rudy delivers on our Torchwood: Miracle Day bet, penning and reading a truly inspired piece of fan fiction. It might be part one in a series! Only time will tell.

After kicking things off with a bit of 80s time travel nostalgia (holla, Out of This World fans!), Liz and Rudy discuss the newest Doctor Who installment. Did it break their hearts or leave them cold? That is an excellent question!

And then (at approximately 40:41), it's time to say farewell to Torchwood: Miracle Day and its merry band of conspiracy fighters. Secrets are revealed! Things are exploded! A bet is won! And there's even some more fan fiction! It is (hopefully) a fitting tribute to a show that's given us a lot of food for thought (and a lot of laughs) over the past few months.

Did we learn anything new about our characters? Who's more afraid of giant wooden dolls, Liz or Rudy? The answers to those questions MAY SHOCK YOU.

They will probably not shock you the way our discussion of Torchwood's "The Gathering" shocks you, though! This is because (beginning at the 19:25 mark) Liz and Rudy are forced to use some strong language to describe the episode's final twist, which kinda had to be seen to be believed. But you could listen to us describe it! That's probably good for a laugh.

What's up with the recent lack of Captain Jack (and the sudden emergence of Girl Friday's personality)? And was the episode's final reveal epically tragic, or "too soon"? You will only know if you listen!

We also admit to playing with Torchwood: Web of Lies, the interactive app/motion comic/game featuring the voice of Eliza Dushku and some challenging logic puzzles. Well, when we say challenging we mean that Liz got really confused and Rudy was impatient. And there's fanfic! Aside from all the murderin', it's a good time.

Also, further plans for what will undoubtedly be an epic explosion of quality explicit fan fiction featuring Captain Jack, Rex Matheson C.I.A. and ourselves are also made. Because we keep things classy. Here's some inspiration, if you need it.

We also get into the biggest news of the week when it comes to Torchwood: Some comments made by Starz president Chris Albrecht last week which implied that the show's future might be an uncertain one. But the show's ratings have been good and things are certainly cooking along -- so where do you put Torchwood's odds of returning?

As always, we love reading your Tweets, emails and comments, so keep firing away! Also as always, thanks for listening.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Guys, this is a VERY EXCITING episode of Timey Wimey TV. First off, Liz and Rudy discuss the news to come out of Doctor Who's domination of the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, including the announcement of an airdate, a teaser trailer for the second half of Season 6 and Karen Gillen stating that she would be returning for Season 7. Which, you know, we hadn't thought would be the case.

And then we talk about "Dead of Night," the third episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day, which is also jolly good fun! Speculation is given! Requests for fan fiction are issued! And a gentlemen's wager is struck.

Well, sort of a gentlemen's wager. Technically, the winner of a gentlemen's wager receives only respect, but Liz and Rudy didn't remember that. So they'd love to know what someone should win (or someone should lose) when we find out whether aliens are directly responsible for the events of Miracle Day. Suggestions welcome in the comments!

Because it wouldn't be Timey Wimey TV without your Tweets, emails and comments -- so keep giving us more of those! Special thanks to Casey McKinnon for hosting our recording session, and as always, thanks to you for listening.

In this week's episode of Timey Wimey TV, Liz and Rudy opine and crack wise about the second episode of Miracle Day. Are the multiple storylines working smoothly? Is this whole mess Captain Jack's fault? And how many character names were Liz and Rudy accurately able to remember? The answers all lie within this podcast!

As always, we rely on your commentary to keep things interesting (we're awfully boring, after all) so sound off with your thoughts in the comments here, on Twitter or via email. Oh, and subscribe on iTunes, too! The coolest people do that. The coolest people like you, who we heartily thank for listening.</itunes:summary>

What did we think of the first episode of Miracle Day? Is Bill Pullman's portrayal of a pedophile/serial killer disturbing or super-disturbing? Will Liz forgive Russell T. Davies' weak understanding of U.S. governmental procedure? How badly does Rudy want to see Captain Jack naked? All the answers lie within this audio presentation.

Please note that this contains SPOILERS for the U.S. airing of "The New World," and that the show will not air in Britain until Thursday. But we're gonna be super-interested in hearing from U.K. listeners about what may be different between the two versions, so please chime in with your thoughts.

And as always, we couldn't do this without your support, so please keep the support coming via email, Twitter, the comments here or by subscribing on iTunes. And thanks so much for listening!</itunes:summary>
